Amma Bad:
Since the students are already Muslim and the focus is on language acquisition through religious text, the goal is not to introduce them to Islamic concepts for the first time, but to help them understand these concepts in English and practice their new language skills. The homework companion provided for each student should be less about testing knowledge and more about comprehension, vocabulary, and summarization.
Let us start fresh with the introduction and the concept of at-Taqwa based on pages 1-12.
Language-Focused Homework Companion This workbook will help students:
* Read and understand the English text in shaa’Allaah
* Identify key vocabulary and its meaning.
* Summarize the main points of each section.
* Connect the concepts to their own existing knowledge in Arabic or their native language.
