Qaa’idah Nooraniyyah Lesson 4.4 & Juz Amma- Surah al-Ikhlas:112

Bismillah Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuh

Alhamdulillah, our class on this past Saturday progressed to reading Surah al-Ikhlas 112:1-4 with the explanation of the word for word context from the Explanation of Important Lessons for Every Muslim by Shaykh Bin Baz (rahimahullah). It was truly a enlightening experience as we delved into the profound meanings behind the verses, exploring the beautiful simplicity and depth of Surah al-Ikhlas. The insight provided by Shaykh Bin Baz (rahimahullah) added a layer of understanding that truly enriched our study. We were able to grasp the significance and impact of each word in the surah, making our learning experience even more profound and meaningful. This journey through the explanations and reflections on the surah has undoubtedly heightened our awareness and deepened our connection to the divine message of the Quran.


This was an extension of the Qaa’idah Nooraniyyah course currently being taught on Zoom alhamdulillah. The course has been a wonderful opportunity for students to delve deeper into the fundamental principles of tajweed and pronunciation, with a focus on developing fluency in reciting the Quran. Under the guidance of experienced instructor, participants have been able to enhance their understanding of Arabic phonetics and gain valuable insights into the proper enunciation of each letter and vowel. The virtual platform has allowed for a rich interactive learning experience, enabling students to engage in group discussions, receive personalized feedback, and practice recitation with peers. The positive feedback from the participants reflects the success of the course in nurturing a deeper connection with the Quran and fostering a sense of community among learners.

The next class will continue with the shafatain (letters on the lips) and the completion of lesson 4 in shaa’Allaah. We will dive deeper into the pronunciation of these letters, focusing on articulation and connecting them to the broader context of the Arabic language. Additionally, we will explore examples and exercises to reinforce the understanding of lesson 4, ensuring that all students are confident in their grasp of the material. Together, we will work towards mastering the intricacies of these linguistic elements, paving the way for a more comprehensive understanding of the beautiful language of Arabic.

HWA: students are not only encouraged to practice the recitation of Surah al-Ikhlas, al-Falaq, and An-Naas together, but also to delve into the meanings and significance of these chapters. Understanding the historical context and the wisdom behind these Surahs can deepen the experience and enhance the connection to the message. Additionally, practicing the correct pronunciation and Tajweed rules is emphasized to ensure the proper recitation of these ayaat. This thorough engagement with the Surahs will enrich the students’ knowledge and foster a profound appreciation for the beauty of the Quran in shaa’Allaah
