Bismillah. Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuh
My earliest memories of falling in love with words, stories, and books stem from my grandmother’s captivating storytelling. Oh, the dramatic flair she brought to each tale! I was thoroughly entertained, often finding myself too engrossed to drift off to sleep. My imagination ran wild, alhamdulillah, with endless possibilities!
Sharing my passion for books with students brings an exhilarating amount of wordplay, in shaa’Allaah. It’s the perfect time to introduce the dictionary to prepare for the game of Scrabble.

As we grow more devoted to language and explore nonfiction and historical narratives, I strongly suggest consulting the Oxford English Dictionary. It serves as an invaluable resource for expanding our vocabulary and crafting authentic accounts, narratives, essays, articles, short novels, and book chapters.

Like ourselves, students must master the intricate art of wordplay, utilizing homonyms, antonyms, and synonyms as a solid foundation. The Roget’s International Thesaurus, available at my favorite online bookstore, stands out as the ultimate resource for honing this essential skill.

Revering books has the potential to set us on a profound and fruitful journey towards acquiring knowledge. This passion for books can lead us to delve into topics such as: Learning about Allah, His Names and Attributes, His prohibitions, the obligations of the religion, the prophets and messengers, the Life of our Noble Prophet Muhammad (sallaAllahu alaihi wa sallaam), and the (5) strong of those prophets mentioned. It can also lead us to explore the Hadith narrations passed down from the companions of the Messenger (sallaAllahu alaihi wa sallaam) and those who have followed them exactly, and so much more…
Let’s start teaching the love of reading books and building libraries filled with beneficial knowledge bi’ithnillah
