Assalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakaatuh
Yesterday was Thursday – 9/21/2017, the 1st day of the month of Muharram 1439H. It is the first established month of the hijrah calendar year.
The 10th, which is the Day of Ashooraa, will be Saturday, Sept 30, 2017. We are strongly encouraged to fast.
The students and I had a small discussion about the importance of this month. We will continue with the topic this coming week bi’ithnillah.
